Victoria
Owner and visionary of the The Tannery Barn, Victoria is a seasoned event and floral designer with over 20 years of experience. Today, Victoria Clausen Floral Events is a luxury, award-winning event and floral design company. Opening the Tannery Barn was a natural progression from this, when Victoria saw an opportunity to create truly curated experiences for couples after absorbing the elements that make an event stand above. Her passion lies in creating memorable moments which shine through each and every detail in the Tannery Barn.
Victoria’s favorite form of spontaneity is booking a plane ticket abroad, and she has no qualms turning down a piece of chocolate if it’s not “good” chocolate (Hershey’s doesn’t cut it). She always has a spare moment to gush over her Bernedoodle, Bella!
Colleen
Colleen has over a decade of experience in the wedding industry, which is what first drew her to The Tannery Barn - creating magical experiences that hold a lifetime of memories. From connecting with couples and showing them around the property, to helping with social media and executing seamless wedding days, Colleen loves guiding couples from their very first “hello” at the Tannery to their unforgettable “I do.” Colleen and her husband, James, were married here in June 2025, so she understands firsthand how meaningful every detail of the planning process can be.
When she’s not keeping wedding timelines running like clockwork, Colleen enjoys staying active with pickleball, bike rides, trips to the gym, or unwinding with a good book or binging a good comfort show. You may also spot her lab, Conan, making the occasional appearance on our socials - he often tags along for workdays with his mom and proudly carries his favorite champagne bottle toy around the property like he’s ready to celebrate with everyone.
Mark
With 20 years in the wedding industry, Mark has seen just about everything - which means he knows how to keep a wedding day running smoothly, even when the unexpected happens. He loves blending thoughtful design with organized planning so every detail feels intentional and the day flows effortlessly. His goal is always to create a calm, supportive experience where couples feel taken care of and can truly enjoy every moment.
Outside of weddings, you’ll usually find Mark traveling, thrifting for hidden gems, or hiking with his husband - who also makes the most amazing Thai food for them every day!
KATHY
Kathy has been an integral part of The Tannery Barn team since its inception. On event days, Kathy is always ready to lend a hand, supporting our team and helping to create memorable experiences for our guests.
In addition to her facilities role, Kathy operates our venue shuttle, providing convenient transportation for guests to and from the parking lot. A true Taneytown native, Kathy is always eager to share her extensive knowledge about the town with our visitors.
