The house adjacent to The Tannery Barn (known historically as "The Tannery House") was built in 1807 and it is believed the barn soon followed. Most of the original Brick Switzer style barn burned down around the turn of the 20th century. The original beams are built without any metal, telling us that some of the original barn still stands although most of it was rebuilt in the early 1900s. The new post-and-beam barn housed Percheron horses that would have helped to farm the land until the 1990's, when a local family restored the old, rundown barn into a beautiful home, keeping elements that treasure its history and charm.

The Tannery Today

In 2018, we welcomed the the Tannery into our sisterhood of companies knowing it could be home to some beautiful memories through incredible events. A year and a half of renovations later, including the addition of our high-ceiling Pavilion, the Tannery held its first event. Since then, you could say we haven’t looked back. Sometimes, though, you’ll still catch us reminiscing on its once-red façade.

Are you ready to add to the history?
